Shel Nuth grew up in the foothills of North County San Diego, and currently resides in San Francisco. Graduating with a degree in Economics, art has served mainly as a pastime and hobby. Her passion for drawing started during early childhood as her mom, artist and teacher, always encouraged freedom of expression and creating. Working with mainly pen, ink and watercolor, Shel's art celebrates spaces in between; the absence of color and form highlight the soul of the subject matter.
" A lot of my work is small and the Sakura pens allow me to get the level of detail I need. My favorite, which I always have a few on hand, is the 005. It is my go to for fine animal fur lines and face shading; I haven't found one I like more!" -Shel Nuth
