Lizzie Snow is a 23 year old visual artist, working under her artist name ‘fortyonehundred’. Inspired by fractals in nature, Lizzie creates contemporary explorations of the mandala and free flowing artworks.

The work Lizzie releases include original drawings and paintings, internationally commissioned murals, limited-edition prints and collectable items. Lizzie has recently opened her own art gallery in Tofino, BC, Canada. She has over 100,000 followers online, displaying and selling her artwork on social media, her website and now also in The fortyonehundred Art Gallery. Lizzie is a New Zealander and a Canadian. Born in Canada, brought up in New Zealand to a Kiwi family, and now has returned to Canada to live by the beach, open the gallery and make even bigger career goals.

Collaboration is a key part of Lizzie’s artistic practice, having worked with brands including Lululemon, Converse and Peugeot, as well as numerous non-profit organizations. With her Master of Fine Arts degree and Bachelors degree in Design for Social Innovation, Lizzie has a particular interest in the ways she can positively evoke relationship between people and the earth through her art practice. Lizzie works with the ethos that emotional connection and education are the first steps towards practical change in terms of helping our environment. We are all interconnected, and this is the driving force behind her creative practice and artistic expressions.
